Things for kids in Kent are please to introduce Jo Martel, who has over 20 years of secondary school teaching experience and offers children, aged over 7 years old and parents different art, crafts and textile lessons, both after school hours or at the weekend.

There are various styles of art sessions to choose from including:

Art Club - for anyone of 7 years and upwards. Parents could accompany children under 11 years of age if they wish. Activities might include painting, using 3D modelling materials, creative textiles, drawing, making rubbings and collage.

Other classes can be a mixture of painting, drawing and development into textile design, art textiles techniques from embroidery to printing. Lots of creative variety and confidence building in 2D, 3D art and textiles activities. The choice of art classes for children or parents are endless.

Jo teaches Art and Creative Textiles skills to absolute beginners in small and supportive classes and personalise activities to suit individuals.

"I go on location to teach Art outdoors at NGS gardens and private retreats and am always looking for interesting venues to take small groups of students to. Wherever I base my teaching, it is always in a nurturing environment, where learners feel valued and empowered by the artistic work they make.
